Hello! I’m so glad that you are here!
Spending just five minutes of your time and I will share with you a little bit about me!
Krystal Flood-Aquilino has always had a creative eye in photography---I just didn’t know it! Ten years ago I started randomly being drawn to capturing images of trees. This capturing of trees grew into me being drawn into the discovery of capturing landscapes and architecture.
These landscapes and architectural wonders whether it’s a tree in an urban setting, an intriguing detail on a building or creative designs within interiors then revealed my passion for contrast, lines and shapes whether it is chiaroscuro or color. Contrast and shapes and how it affects the soul and senses translates into a sense of just being in connection with not only oneself but with the creativity of architecture and the hidden gems of the earth.
The hidden gems of the earth must be immortalized and therefore I did so with my first serious venture, along with my husband and the Sony point and shoot camera that encompassed a small recordable disk within the camera, captured earth’s givings. I then graduated to a Canon point and shoot and then upgraded to yet another Canon point and shoot—that’s when I realized the intimacy--between me, architecture and the earth—through the sphere of the reveal. In 2014, I was able to afford an APS-C Canon camera and continues to humbly respect, explore and capture the physical origins and intangible feelings disclosed to us by our one and only---Earth.
Glad we could meet!
